My Mission
I believe the college admissions process should be a journey of discovery, not a source of family stress. My mission at Pathway is to turn overwhelming complexity into a clear, manageable roadmap. Having served as a high school counselor, I know exactly what happens behind the scenes, and I use that "insider" knowledge to help my students stand out.
My Background & Credentials
My own educational journey began right here in the Coachella Valley at College of the Desert, where I earned my A.A. in Liberal Arts. I then transferred to Cal State San Bernardino for my Bachelor’s in History, before completing my Master’s Degree in Counseling with an emphasis in School Counseling.
I hold a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential, the professional standard for school counseling in California. With three years of direct experience in the high school setting, I have helped hundreds of students navigate the specific pressures of the modern classroom and the college application cycle. ALL of my students have been Accepted to hundreds of Colleges and Universities all over the country!
Professional Memberships: Active member of NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling) and ASCA (American School Counselor Association).
Specializations: I am an expert in Cal State & UC Applications, Common App strategy, Financial Aid, Naviance, SLATE, Canvas, FACTS SIS and Career Exploration - helping students find a major that aligns with their long-term goals.
The Heart of a Competitor
Before I was a counselor, I was a student-athlete. Competing in both high school and college taught me the "double life" that so many of my students lead today. I’ve lived through the 5:00 AM practices, the weekend travel, and the challenge of maintaining a high GPA while giving 100% to a team.
This background is why I am so passionate about helping families find balance. I know how to translate "on-field" leadership into compelling college essays, and I understand the discipline it takes to manage high-stakes deadlines. Whether your student is an athlete, an artist, or a leader, I bring that same competitive drive and team-player mindset to our partnership.
The Pathway Approach
I don't just help with forms; I help with the future. I understand the "whole student," I focus on finding the Triple Fit: a school that works academically, socially, and financially. I act as the project manager for your student’s applications, handling the deadlines and technicalities so you can focus on being a supportive parent during their final year at home.
Beyond the Desk
When I’m not analyzing admissions data or brainstorming essay topics, you can find me exploring our beautiful desert community or catching a baseball game with Family & Friends. I’m a firm believer in work-life balance.
